The featured artist at this ArtStream concert, Kishore Iyer, is a senior at the Bauer College of Business, University of Houston, pursuing a Business Finance and Accounting degree. He has been learning Carnatic violin under the guidance of his father and guru, Sri. Mahesh Iyer since 2008 and completed his violin arangetram in August of 2018. He has given numerous concerts in India and the USA, with the most notable ones during the December music season in Ernakulam at the Edappalli Sangeetha Sadas (2023), Pudhuyugam TV channel (2018), Chennai at the ARKAY convention center (2017), Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital, MD. Anderson Cancer Center and MATCH Houston for Classical Arts Society of Houston. He is a faculty member at Silambam Houston, filling the Pearland studio with the sounds of the violin on Fridays with his students.

Kishore is accompanied by Naga Srinidhi Kuruvada on mridangam, and Govind Rangappa on kanjira.
